چکیده

The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF), Clariodeoglomus etunicatum, on leaf food quality and relevant gene expression levels tea (Camellia sinensis cv. ‘Fuding Dabaicha’) seedlings exposed 0.5 μM P (P0.5) 50 (P50) levels. Twenty-four weeks later, recorded higher root fungal colonization in P50 than P0.5. AMF-inoculated plants represented significantly fructose glucose contents lower sucrose content non-inoculated plants, irrespective substate AMF treatment also increased total amino acids P0.5 P50, accompanied with glutamate dehydrogenase (CsGDH) glutamine synthetase (CsGS) oxoglutarate aminotransferase (CsGOGAT). flavonoid was versus non-mycorrhizal under together induced phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (CsPAL) cinnamic acid 4-hydroxylase (CsC4H). Mycorrhizal inoculation improved catechins content, which is due up-regulated flavanone 3-hydroxylase (CsF3H), 3'-hydroxylase (CsF3'H), dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (CsDFR), leucoanthocyanidin reductase (CsLAR), anthocyanidin (CsANR), chalcone isomerase (CsCHI) However, involved synthesis not affected or down-regulated by mycorrhization, implying a complex mechanism (e.g. nutrient improvement). inhibited caffeine synthase 1 (CsTCS1) regardless Therefore, results this concluded that C. etunicatum improves stress, but mechanisms were different between P50.

P-16: Effect of Vitamin E and Green Tea Extracts on Semen Quality and Oxidative Stress Parameters in Rat Exposed to Cadmium

Background: Cadmium is a potential pollutant of the environment. It manifests cyto-toxic effects in different organs in animals. In the testis, changes due to disruption of the blood-testis barrier and oxidative stress have been noted. Therefore, the present study was carried out to investigate the potential protective effects of vitamin E and green tea extract in combination against cadmium (C...

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Phosphorus Supplement on Leaf P, Zn, Cu and Fe Concentrations of Tea Seedlings

Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) (Glomus etunicatum, G. intraradices and Glomus versiforme) and external phosphorus supplement (8 and 35 mg P Kg-1 soil) on leaf P, Zn, Cu and Fe nutrition of 4-month-old tea(Camellia sinensis) was studied in an glass house pot experiment. The highest leaf P concentration (up to 59.43% increase) was found in G. versiforme inoculated seedlings gro...

Ingestion of green tea with lowered caffeine improves sleep quality of the elderly via suppression of stress

Epidemiological and animal studies have demonstrated that ingestion of green tea enhances healthy life. However, caffeine in green tea can interfere with sleep. In this report, we examined the effect of green tea with lowered caffeine, low-caffeine green tea, on stress and sleep of the elderly. The participants (n = 10, mean age 89.3 ± 4.2 years) drank five cups/day of standard green tea for 1 ...
